Uma Thurman ( Kill Bill), Bruno Ganz ( Downfall), and Riley Keough ( Mad Max: Fury Road) also star with South Korean actor, Yu Ji-tae, best known to us genre fans as the antagonist in Park Chan-wook’s 2003 hardboiled thriller Oldboy. In the film, Dillon stars as a serial killer who views each of his murders as a work of art. Interestingly, the art sorta spoils who’s going to perish at the hands of Jack, played by Matt Dillon, although maybe what makes this movie interesting is the conversations that take place prior to the murders? From the earlier looks at the movie, set to be released here in the States by IFC Films, it appears to be in the same vein as American Psycho. What makes these controversial is the depiction of violence against women, even though the entire cast (and director) are also tied up and contorted. Zentropa is reclaiming the controversy with these character posters that depict the cast tied up and contorted, along with the film’s director.
